Fashion Design by Marta Ross
2025 D. Bradley Smith Art Purchase Award Winner
Marta Ross's piece is a dress she designed and sewed. She has been sewing since she was 13 and has always been interested in fashion and makeup. This year she was the president of Brighton's new Fashion Club.
Marta enjoys working in a variety of mediums and using those art forms in different ways. In addition to fashion and makeup, drawing portraits and doing photography are also major interests. An avid skateboarder, she did a public service project drawing portraits of skateboarders.
This fall she will enroll in Genesee Community College with a major in fashion design. After graduating there, she plans to transfer to a school in New York City to study fashion design, merchandizing, and photography. Her career goal is to combine her interests in fashion, makeup, and photography.
